Spiral (coil) binding

Manual Punch 20 sheets. Electric Rubber Roller inserter. Manual Cut and Crimp. Great starter model with speed of use to match even our bigger machines.

Punches 18 sheets at a time and will bind and insert up to 20mm. Sizes over this up to 50mm are available but must be inserted by hand. Robust and reliable with very neat 'Cut & Crimp' lever that does what it says it will do and cuts the coil and crimps the ends over to prevent uncoiling. Uses purpose profiled 'Oval' punch pins so the coil can expand a little without causing friction and difficult insertion. This machine is manual to start with but can be easily upgraded to Electric my the purchase of the motor drive unit. So you can test the water first before committing to an electric machine.

We now have this format Spiral and this also means that any 3:1" Wire machine does not have to stop at the largest 3:1" 14mm wire - you can simply buy Spiral coils to go up to 20mm and do those odd large books that always frustrated you! Spiral binders simply spins on by hand or you can buy our coil inserter for speedier and easier production. Both ends are cut and crimped with a special pair of pliers. Punches 24 sheets at a time up to 20mm document thickness. Larger spirals up to 50mm are available but require a degree of skills and patience as the friction of Spiral on the punch holes makes for slow progress.

This great little machine is an extremely capable Spiral Coil inserter for all Spiral Formats 4:1", 3:1" and 2:1".

Simply start the Spiral onto the first few punch holes and the twin driven roller whizzes the Spiral on in a few seconds leaving only the ends to be cut and crimped. 20mm Spirals are the largest size realistically that can be used on this machine. Larger spirals up to 50mm are available but require a degree of skills and patience as the friction of Spiral on the punch holes makes for slow progress.

This Multi Format System uses changeable tools for Wire/Comb & Spiral binding. Superbly reliable punch tools and first-class build quality make this punch a very difficult machine to fault. Regarding Spiral Coil Binding this system punches in 2:1", 3:1" and 4:1" Formats. The additional Electric Spiral Inserter simply locks onto the front of punch machine body. Simply start the Spiral into the first few holes and touch against dual rubber rollers to spin the Spiral onto book. Punch Tool Changes take 20 seconds. Incredibly fast - able to punch and bind a 20-page document in under 15 seconds.Binds Spiral Sizes 6mm - 20mm. Highly efficient design layout of footswitch operated vertical punching for improved paper knock up. Punch capacity of around 32 sheets ensure the hole quality does not deteriorate. Has an adjustable margin depth gauge. Built in gauge for measuring book thickness and Spiral size selection. Virtually unjammable as the same mechanism and force used to punch is also used to retract the punches.
