Wire Binding 3:1"

After many years of refusing to sell low quality binding machines we are at last able to supply a high quality Personal/Light Use Wire Binding machine at a very reasonable price. 10 sheets can be punched at one time and will bind up to 120 pages for 3:1" pitch wire and 250 pages for 2:1" wire versions.

3:1" punch format. This is the Heavy Duty Manual version of the easy to use SuperFast Range. In a completely different class to any Stationery Catalogue Machine for performance and Longevity. Even our 10 year old machines are still out there working! Able to punch and bind 30 sheets in under 10 seconds. Wire is held firmly so you can load the paper onto the wire. Punches 24 sheets at a time.

This machine can be upgraded to the Medium Duty Electric (see below), by the installation of the motor module.

Superfast Wire Machines are famous as the market leader and for shutting perfectly round every time holes to 1" or 2:1" is the only wire system that will bind documents from a few sheets to 300 pages without having to change the punch tool (5mm wire - 32mm wire). the wire by hand. Superfast use a compact 5mm x 3mm punch slot which make even the smallest size as attractive as small size 3:1". Other systems use the very large 6mm round or square holes which only really work on wires sizes 19mm upwards.

Highly efficient design layout uses vertical punching and once the paper is punched there is no need to change hand grip and the paper is simply brought forward onto the open wire binder and then simply pushed forward to be closed perfectly round and evenly. Punch capacity of around 30 sheets ensure the hole quality does not deteriorate. Has an adjustable margin depth gauge. Built-in gauge for measuring book thickness and wire size selection. Virtually unjammable due to the same mechanism and force that is used to punch is also used to retract the punches. Other machines fail badly on this point by using a weaker system to retract the punches, resulting in internal parts snapping. High quality hardened steel punching dies.

For wire/comb/spiral binding.

Superbly reliable punch tools and first-class build quality make this punch a very difficult machine to fault. Separate modules for closing plastic combs, closing wire O binders and inserting spiral coils simply clip onto the front of this machine. Once you have bought the punch, then changing binding format takes 20 seconds and only costs the price of the extra puch tool and the closer module.

Incredibly fast - able to punch and bind a 20-page document in under 10 seconds - and it inserts the wire into the document for you! Binds all sizes (5mm wire - 32mm wire, 5mm - 51mm comb or 5mm - 22mm plastic or metal coils). With a punching output approximately 1800 - 2000 cycles per hour this semi automatic punch will take the punched paper away as quick as you can load it into the punch mouth. Maximum punching width 340 mm. Can be used in automatic or manual operation (with footswitch). Has a fast, trouble-free die change (less than 2 min.)

Electric semi-automatic adjustable paper guide for accurate gradual adjustment. Removable paper holder for unpunched paper. Adjustable paper output tray with front unloading of punched paper. All punching pins of the tools can be individually selected. All punch tools have adjustable margin depths.

This was the original style of binding machine invented in 1935. The only hand machine that will do 3:1" round holes without going to Heavy Duty Electric. Still requires user to punch paper and then hang document over table edge to insert wire binder. See our 'Superfast' range if you want to treble output with less effort.

The Magna Punch is a high volume punch featuring ten interchangeable die patterns.

Die sets lock in place without the need for tools. Is a punch only and is slow in comparison to Superfast Multi Tool. Also has far less dependable Punch Tools that are easily damaged whereas SuperFast Multi Tool is incredibly reliable and easily repaired. We have only ever replaced 2 punch tools on the Superfast - one was worn out after 8 years and the other had been run without the locking bolts fully tightened.
